Sex is weird.
In the 1960s, the KGB tried to blackmail Indonesian President Achmed Sukarno on a Moscow visit by sending prostitutes to his hotel room and secretly filming the sexual encounter. When they showed President Sukarno the film, he was delighted and asked for copies to show people back home.
Axl Rose recorded audio of himself having sex with 19-year-old Adriana Smith, who was the girlfriend of fellow Guns N' Roses bandmate Steven Adler. He then put that audio into the final mix for "Rocket Queen." When Adler found out what the recording was about, he "fucking freaked out."
In 1912, scientist George Murray Levick observed a colony of penguins in the Antarctic. To his astonishment, he witnessed male penguins coerce female penguins into sex. He also observed them having sex with other male penguins and dead females.
These specific findings were removed from his published works in order to "preserve decency."

Gerald Foos owned the Manor House Motel in Aurora, Colorado. He specifically bought the hotel to spy on guests having sex without their knowledge. He would climb into the attic and watch through peep holes installed in the ceilings. He also kept notes about his "subjects."
He claims to have been conducting research on sexual behaviors.
Foos' story was the subject of a controversial article in The New Yorker by Gay Talese.
British band Rockbitch would throw a "golden condom" into the audience. Whoever caught it would get to have sex with the band members backstage.

Due to legal reasons, Christopher Mintz-Plasse had to have his mom on the set of Superbad when he filmed his famous sex scene because he was 17 years of age. "We still don't speak about that moment," Mintz-Plasse said of the ordeal.
Oral sex in Canada was illegal until 1969.

In 2011, in France, a woman successfully sued her ex-husband over his refusal to have sex with her during their marriage. The sex drought lasted 21 years, and a judge ordered the ex-husband to pay $15,000, valuing his "services" at $714 a year.
According to The Telegraph, "The 51-year-old man was fined under article 215 of France’s civil code, which states married couples must agree to a 'shared communal life.'" The judge included sexual relations as part of the marriage.

In Japan, there's a non-profit organization called White Hands, comprised of medical sex workers who help people with severe physical disabilities to ejaculate.
In 2001, a 15-year-old Australian boy with terminal cancer asked to lose his virginity as his final wish. A group of friends, along with his psychologist, escorted the boy to a prostitute in Sydney's red-light district. The parents of the child were not consulted.
Due to his illness, the boy was unable to meet girls his age, going in and out of hospitals since the age of 12. After a series of discussions, and making sure the boy was in a mature, sensible, and competent state of mind, he made the decision to help him achieve his final wish.

In 1986, in the town of Council Grove, Kansas, a sheriff and his wife made a sex tape using rented equipment from a local video store. When the sheriff returned the equipment, he accidentally left the sex tape in the player. The tape was copied and distributed throughout the town.
According to reports, there were approximately 200 copies of the tape in circulation. Interest in the tape also went beyond the small town.

The Natural History Museum in Sweden holds the world's only stuffed blue whale. Its jaws were once open for visitors to enter and explore its insides. But after discovering a couple having sex inside the whale, the museum shut down the jaws, and only have it open for special occasions.
The chairman of the board of the museum stated, "We must be content with the fact that it was two citizens of our own city that enjoyed this privilege.”

From 1955 to 1965, the CIA conducted "Operation Midnight Climax" out of San Francisco. It was a top-secret, mind-control program where they used prostitutes to lure unsuspecting men into a designated room and douse them with LSD. They would then observe the sexual encounters through a one-way mirror.
The operation was a sub-project of the CIA's infamous Project MKULTRA.

In 2003, Holly Marie Adams had sex with identical twins Raymon and Richard Miller on the same day, hours apart. She then got pregnant. Holly originally named Raymon the father, but he contested. So, a paternity test was done, which revealed that BOTH men had over 99.9% probability of being the father.
The courts have ruled Raymon as the father, and is expected to continue paying child support despite the ambiguity. He continues to fight the case.
